All prints are made-to-order and will require one to two weeks’ production time before being shipped. Each order will be acknowledged after payment has been received to confirm the shipping date. To customers who order prints of the same image subsequent to their original order, there may be slight variations in image density and/or contrast when compared to the initial print. If exact matching prints are desired, these should be ordered at the same time.
All prints are shipped flat, durably mounted on high quality backing board with two inch borders top and sides and a five inch border at bottom.
Custom Matting and Framing crafted to fit the Mount Board Size shown will be required to complete the presentation. The bottom border will show below the lower right corner of the image the photographer’s signature. Due to slight size variations please await receipt of your mounted print before ordering custom matting and framing.

Yankee Boy Basin Wildflowers nr. Ouray, Colorado, July 19, 2014
Yankee Boy Basin is known throughout Colorado as one of the premier areas for mid-summer wildflowers. Without a four wheel drive vehicle, it’s not an easy place to get to. With a four wheel drive vehicle, it’s not an easy place to get to. Did I tell you that it’s not an easy place to get to? It’s not. The road into Yankee Boy from Ouray starts out easily and becomes very difficult in just a few short miles. If, somehow, you’re able to negotiate the poor roads in Yankee Boy you will gradually climb this valley’s poor excuse for a road to the south side of Mt. Sneffels where the road ends. If you keep hiking west, you’ll end up crossing a steep saddle and then descending into the Blue Lakes area. The accompanying photograph was taken looking east down the valley towards Ouray. There are shades of Indian Paintbrush I’ve seen only occasionally in other places. Here, the varieties of colors and flowers are seemingly infinite. This photograph was made with a Tokina 11-20mm f2.8 Zoom lens at 11mm on a Nikon D7100. Oh, and did I tell you the road into Yankee Boy Basin is gnarly? Just in case you neglected to read the beginning of this caption, please re-read the beginning of this caption. You might save the oil pan under your engine if you plan on taking any vehicle to Yankee Boy that does not have high clearance and four wheel drive! ‘Nuf said!
