Green Mountain Reservoir, Irrigated Meadows, Summit Co., Colorado, May 25, 2025

This bucolic scene had struck me as having photographic possibilities more than two years ago when I was without a camera, riding this country road for the first time on my new e-bike.  I recalled the impression of the weathered fence posts as they led into the distance toward Green Mountain Reservoir and Lawson Ridge in the far distance.

As luck would have it, I was able to get back to this spot without difficulty to find dramatic rain clouds forming

Using a Pentax K-3 Mark III Monochrome camera equipped with a Pentax 24-70mm f2.8 FA lens at 24mm, there is no negative of this image, which has instead been captured using the camera’s special dedicated monochrome sensor.  As a result, inkjet prints are available from this image.
